Affiliate marketing and especially media buying requires a lot of skill, experience, and resources. Advertising accounts and business profiles that allow for ad placement and promotion on various platforms, such as Facebook or TikTok — are a kind of currency around here. As a media buyer, you need MANY accounts to keep going, especially when you are experienced enough to work at a larger scale. So today we are going to talk about Facebook accounts and how you can lay your hands on as many as you need (preferably without triggering the All-Seeing Eye of Zucc).

Why do we need Facebook accounts?

First of all, why do we need more accounts? Why can’t you just launch ads from one Facebook page and be happy about it?

Well, to begin with, Facebook profiles have many restrictions imposed upon them: they can’t promote specific types of products, be too aggressive in creative approaches, or exhibit any unusual (as per FB rules) behavior. So it’s only natural that you would want to get as many accounts as possible to launch more ads and generate as much traffic as possible.

Moreover, let’s not forget about bans and account freezes (as if anyone could forget about it). Facebook is notorious for its strict guidelines and frequent account suspensions. The desire to monetize grey-hat or even black-hat offers that tend to bring profit much faster is also not helping the situation — more accounts get banned. So it follows that you need more and more to keep afloat.

How can you get an account?

To have more accounts, you can go two basic routes: register more profiles manually or purchase accounts from a third party. Each approach has it’s pros and cons, let’s dig deeper.

Farm accounts yourself

This peculiar word you are seeing in the header has nothing to do with agriculture, but follows the same logic. Account farming is the process of registering new accounts and nurturing or growing them into maturity by imitating real user behavior. Mimicking real people is crucial for success because, like many social platforms, Facebook hates bots and prohibits “inhuman behavior”. So, the first thing you can do is farm more accounts on your own. You’ll need special tools, too.

  • A bunch of spare SIM cards for new “independent and real” user profiles
  • Several laptops and phones or software that emulates real devices and generates credible soft- and hardware data
  • A stock ID photos to register and profile pictures to make the accounts look credible
  • Anti-detect browser. There are many anti-detect browsers, some of them even focus on media buying: they allow you to stay invisible and undetectable, as well as mask your actual location and IP and substitute these parameters for something else. Anti-detect browsers simplify working with multiple accounts (sometimes referred to as multi-accounting) and allow you to access restricted websites. In our article, you can find out more about working with this tool.
  • Proxies — proxy servers add an extra layer of anonymity and security to your online activities. They work together with anti-detect browser to ensure that you can’t be tracked by the IDs and configuration of the network you are currently using, as well as create a very real digital fingerprint.

Account farming process

  1. Activate a phone or launch a PC emulator software.
  2. Don’t forget to switch the PC identifiers (including the IP address) and the location in your browser and proxi.
  3. Download the Facebook application.
  4. Start registering accounts.
  5. Fill out each profile, add pictures, likes, and subscriptions. Try to act like an average user for several days.
  6. After 4-5 days, create a Fan Page and make a couple posts.
  7. Continue acting like an average user for several days more. Like posts, scroll through feed, message friends.
  8. Don’t forget to browse the Internet in general while you are logged into this new account. Make sure that you choose the websites relevant for the chosen GEO.
  9. Eventually create a business manager for your Fan Page
  10.  After about 10 days of scrolling and liking, you can go to Facebook Ads and launch your campaigns.

Farming tips

  • Make your “user actions” random and less predictable for different accounts. If you take the same steps every time, the Facebook algorithms will detect a foul play.
  • Don’t rush the actions such as liking, subscriptions, adding friends. Take it slow, don’t add more than 15 friends at once, and better make breaks between the batches.
  • Add friends from your target GEO, subscribe to local groups, and visit local websites. Walk around collecting more cookies like a real person would.
  • Don’t event open the Ads Manager at first, act normal and pretend that you are there for cat memes and chatting with school friends.
  • Add payment methods (for shopping or gaming). This will boost the credibility of your account.
  • Make sure to check what Facebook has learnt about you, after all, you have been imitating life. To do so, check the official guides on reviewing your off-Facebook activity and ad preferences, for example.

Run a farming team

You can imagine that farming more than 10 accounts all by yourself is terribly tiresome and repetitive. To remedy this on a large scale, you can gather a farming team.

This approach will still be time-consuming and will ensue certain expenses, but you will have exclusive access to all those accounts, and you will be sure of their quality. Though, understandably, not every affiliate can afford to hire more workforce.

Buy accounts elsewhere

This is the third option: purchasing accounts from an agency (for example, Get PVA Store, AccsMarket, or LEQUESHOP) or a third-party farming team. Obviously, you must be cautious and sensible about the whole thing because the Internet is not a kind place and some people are okay with living off your mistakes.

What kind of accounts are out there?

  • Farmed. These accounts are registered and warmed up (or farmed) manually, like we described above. Such accounts look more real and are trusted by the FB algorithms. Thus, you can run more campaigns and, consequently, make more money with such accounts.
  • Auto-registered. These are accounts that are registered via a script or special software. Such accounts can also be warmed up with regular user activities, or they may be empty. With that in mind, such accounts cost less, but they get banned really fast (they don’t look real for Facebook).
  • Accounts that have passed ad restrictions. Restriction on advertising activities are very common on Facebook and in most cases it is even desirable to expose your fresh account to ad restrictions — only to have them vetted and marked as “reliable”. Such accounts will have a greater leeway when it comes to advertising.
  • Rented user accounts. Real people rent or sell their accounts for marketing purposes. Such profiles look “alive” and draw less attention from the Facebook moderation team.

Conclusion

Facebook accounts are diverse, and this allows you to find the perfect type for your goals and budget. Farming accounts is a journey and a tiresome endeavor; a farming team will produce quality accounts with exclusive access, but this also requires additional (and consistent) budget; purchasing accounts may seem like the easiest solution, but make sure that you find a trusted seller.
